Join us for easy and inexpensive recipes you are sure to love! This week Mark is sharing a quick and easy breakfast you can even prepare the night before, a breakfast burrito! Today, we'll be making a sausage and egg burrito.
Breakfast Burrito
Ingredients:
2 tortillas
2 eggs
4 oz. sausage
1/2 tbsp. milk
1/2 tbsp. butter
1/2 cup diced tomatoes (alternatively, salsa)
Salt, pepper, hot sauce to taste
Optionally: consider adding fried onions, bell peppers, or cheese for extra delicious taste!
Recipe:
1. Pan-fry the sausage over medium heat until completely brown.
2. Mix eggs, milk, salt, and pepper in a bowl until eggs are completely broken down.
3. Time to make the scrambled eggs! Heat a pan over medium heat and melt butter in it. Pour the egg mixture in pan, and pull the cooked egg towards the center until all the liquid has been entirely cooked. Once liquid is entirely gone, remove from heat, and let the eggs sit in the pan to finish cooking all the way.
4. Heat your tortillas up in the microwave for 30-45 seconds, then lay out and add the eggs and sausages, cover in diced tomato, and sprinkle with hot sauce. Tuck the sides of the burrito in and roll, then wrap in parchment paper or tin foil for a few minutes. Enjoy!
