In this two-part class, we will first be engraving BBQ spatulas with a custom design and then be making BBQ seasoning for your next cookout.

Learn the basics to feel comfortable using a sewing machine. This introductory-level class includes the EC sewing machine certification necessary for many other classes and/or independent sewing machine use in the makerspace.

The ServSafe^® Food Handler course, taught by a Certified ServSafe® Instructor, provides basic food safety knowledge.

Join us for a friendly game of American Mah Jongg. We welcome experienced players and newer players for casual, non-competitive play. Please bring a current National Mah Jongg League card. If you don’t have a card, one will be provided.

It’s time to put your detective skills to the test at an after-hours murder mystery! Each participant will become a character in the investigation that will take place throughout the library, but one player's motives are not what they seem…

Do you love to do jigsaw puzzles? Form a team of up to 4 players and join us for a puzzle race competition! All teams will get the same 500-piece puzzle and race to see which team can assemble it first. 

The library is partnering with the Sykesville Painting Club to offer this workshop. Joyce Blair will be teaching how to paint clouds.

Come to the library and read a story to a book-loving dog from My Caring Paws. Research shows that reading to animals can boost children's reading skills and help with emotional and social skills.

Customize chocolates for yourself or your valentine in this two-session class! In session one, we'll create our designs in Fusion 360 and learn about the 3D printing process.
