Have you ever wondered what types of rocks there are on the moon? Come to the Finksburg Branch to find out! We will be learning all about moon rocks: what they are made of, what they look like, and where you can see REAL moon rocks here on Earth!

Get together at the library for a fun social time for you and your children. We’ll provide the space, toys, and activities, you provide the fun. Play is an important part of developing early literacy skills.

Goldilocks contracts a foodborne illness after eating the Bear Family's breakfast - which was left on the counter for too long! Listen to the story and join the fun with our large, cardboard puppets.

Explore dancing, singing, and shaking your sillies out at this movement-based program. Older siblings welcome.

This summer the Taneytown Branch Library will be partnering with Carroll County Public Schools and the US Department of Agriculture to provide free summer meals for kids and teens. There is no enrollment and no cost.

Join us for our 6^th annual painting extravaganza in our park. Come and explore some unusual paints and brushes while enjoying our beautiful park! In case of inclement weather, this program will be cancelled.  

Join us for a daddy-daughter workshop to learn the basics of styling your daughter’s hair. Spend quality time with your daughter while you learn how to French braid. Hair ties and ribbons are provided, but please bring a brush and comb.

Need service hours? Join the Teen Advisory Board for a fun-filled meeting to learn how you can become a leader in your library. But it's not all work and no play; we'll provide plenty of snacks and games too!
