Express yourself! Join us for a series of super chill monthly zine programs that promote creativity, connection, and freedom of expression. Zines are self-published, self-distributed, low-budget, DIY mini-magazines or booklets that feature art and expression, images, text, information dissemination, and so much more. Supplies will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own (e.g., magazines, photos, markers, etc.).
Aliza Layne, local Stonewall Honoree and author of Beetle & the Hollowbones, will be stopping by to share her own experience and process with making mini zines and short comics. Fun fact: Beetle & the Hollowbones started out as a zine...how amazing is that?!
