Program Description

Description

While online resources are only a small percentage of the records that family historians should investigate, they are an important part of one's genealogy practice, especially if you cannot travel to pursue your research. We will discuss how to make the most of the well-known resources, FamilySearch, HeritageQuest, and Ancestry, and how to locate unique websites and online sources. Improve your genealogy journey as you learn to "search" the internet, not just "ask" the web. Presented by Mary Mannix, Maryland Room Manager at the C. Burr Artz Public Library, Frederick County Public Libraries. This program is sponsored by the Carroll County Genealogical Society.
