Melinda Byrd will share her skill and experience in Nordic rya (ree'-yah) rug making. Once a nearly-forgotten art, rya is now experiencing a revival in interest. Learn the history and technique then try your own hand at knotting on a rya rug in progress. Examples of authentic Nordic rya rugs will be available for viewing.
