Program Description

Description

Calling all bird detectives! Join 4-H Environmental Educator Torrey Silliman to learn tips & tricks for identifying backyard birds. Learn about the four keys of bird ID, sharpen your skills with an online bird cam activity, and then venture outside to discover our feathered friends in their natural habitat. Youths will leave this program with a free online course and tons of materials to start them on their bird journey.

Optional Trip to Charlotte’s Quest Nature Center: Participants are welcome to attend an optional extension at Charlotte’s Quest. We’ll meet from 3 - 4 PM for a guided bird walk! 15 pairs of binoculars are available to borrow on a first come, first served basis. A parent or guardian must stay with their child at all times.
