Learning new technology should be fun, not intimidating! Join us for a basic hands-on session where we'll create a simple 3D design project to be printed on Exploration Commons' 3D printers. Previous basic computer experience is required.

We're taking a twist on everyone's favorite edge-lit signs class! Choose from a selection of Valentine-themed cut-out designs for your acrylic sign.

This beginner-level laser cutter class will walk you through design basics, machine use, and safety procedures.

Bring your favorite gal pal for a Galentine's Day cooking class. Recipes will include Strawberry and Goat Cheese Crostini, Lobster Ravioli in Brown Butter Sauce, Waffles with Bourbon Barrel Maple Syrup, and Chocolate Covered Strawberries.

Learn the basics to feel comfortable using a sewing machine. This introductory-level class includes the EC sewing machine certification necessary for many other classes and/or independent sewing machine use in the makerspace.

In this hands-on class, participants will master blackened salmon with a homemade smoky spice crust. We’ll cover seasoning, searing, and simple sides for an easy, flavorful meal.

Welcome to the world of 3D modeling, design, and 3D printing. In this introductory class, we will review the computer-aided design (CAD) software Onshape by diving into the fundamentals and techniques to make a 3D-printed keychain.

If it's been a while since you passed your Exploration Commons laser certification, and you could use a refresher on the process, this class is for you! Get a reintroduction to the basics of using our Epilog Fusion Pro and Edge lasers.  

In this hands-on class, participants will make a comforting but simple vegetarian soup and fresh salad while learning how to bloom spices and whisk up a simple vinaigrette. Together, we’ll create a cozy, flavorful meal perfect for any season.

Learn how to make sweet crepes from scratch! We'll finish with fruit fillings and a variety of toppings. 

In this class, we will be engraving a metal business card using Adobe Illustrator to create a simple design with text and graphics. Previous laser design experience is helpful but not required.

This one-day CNC certification class will introduce you to the design basics, machine use, and safety procedures for our new Makera Carvera desktop CNC machine.

It’s National Banana Bread Day, and we’re going bananas!

In this class we will focus on editing photos in Adobe Photoshop to get the best results with our Fusion Pro and Fusion Edge laser engravers. 

Laser certification is required prior to attending this program.

The Finksburg Branch of CCPL needs our help! Their gardens are overfilled with many types of plants, and our task is to create engraved metal plate tags to identify them.
