In Search of Helen from Two Locks

Join Jack McBride White, author of In Carrie's Footprints as he discusses his latest book, In Search of Helen from Two Locks, with Helen’s son Sidney Starliper. In Search of Helen from Two Locks is an inspiring story of love, family, loyalty, disease, and determination. Jack and Sidney will unveil the little-known story about a family’s experience with a rare, unknown brain disease. In 1950 Sidney’s mother began acting strangely and was committed to Maryland's Springfield state hospital. She left in a sheriff’s car when he was seven years old, and he never saw her again until her funeral. In 2016, Sidney realized it was time to solve the mystery of how and why she disappeared from his life.
