Program Description

Description

Dive into the world of sashiko, a type of traditional Japanese embroidery from the Edo period (1600s-1800s), with our beginner take-home kit! Based on a basic running stitch, our kits will have everything you need, including a fabric piece, to create a textured Japanese pattern. Learn the basics of this centuries-old technique and apply it to your own quilting and fashion! Take-home kits will be available for pickup from CCPL's North Carroll Branch for one week.
