Local caner Rick Barrick is fond of antique treasures, most especially chairs. Fourteen years ago, he learned how to revive and save the life of chairs in need of caning by taking a traditional arts class at the Carroll County Farm Museum. Barrick is proud to say he has personally re-caned hundreds (if not thousands) of chairs since then. Watch Barrick as he weaves natural materials together to create a surface that is sturdy and surprisingly strong. Bring your questions, and even your small chair, and Rick will have the answers.
