Program Description

Description

This three-part series explores the process of developing a wireless weather station using common maker electronics, like Raspberry Pi and Arduino, and software platforms Home Assistant and ESPHome. We’ll experiment with a range of sensors to capture data about indoor and outdoor environmental conditions as well as display those data graphically. Part one will focus on the overall system design, component selection, and feature planning. In part two, we’ll construct the core systems and begin testing, work out any bugs, and get the first set of sensors recording. Part three will cover data visualization in HomeAssistant and the development of the user interface.
