Description
Join us for five nights of programming from the History Consortium on one of America’s favorite subjects, railroads.
Starting in the early 1900s and continuing through the 1970s, over six million African Americans left rural southern areas of the United States for opportunities in northern and western states. Please join Tina Charles and Samantha Dorm of York History Center, Pennsylvania as they speak on how many families in York County, Pennsylvania can trace their roots to these migrants who utilized the railroad to start new lives. This program is sponsored and presented by the York County History Center.
