Program Description

Description

ATTENTION: We have just received word that Marie Benedict will appear virtually for this event due to circumstances beyond our control. The event will still take place in-person at the library with co-author Victoria Christopher Murray (in-person) interviewing Marie Benedict (virtually).

Marie Benedict is a lawyer with more than ten years' experience as a litigator at two of the country's premier law firms and for Fortune 500 companies. She is the author of The Other Einstein, Carnegie's Maid, The Only Woman in the Room, and Lady Clementine, views herself as an archaeologist of sorts, telling the untold stories of women. Marie will be in conversation with bestselling author Victoria Christopher Murray. Marie's latest book, The Mitford Affair, probes the torrid political climate in the lead-up to World War II and the ways that seemingly sensible people can be sucked into radical action. Books will be available for purchase. Presented by A Likely Story Bookstore and Carroll County Public Library.
