The Art of Classical Guitar

Join Dr. Candice Mowbray, lecturer and concert artist, as she takes an appreciative look at the history of the classical guitar, sharing stories of its great players, composers, and music. Appearing as a soloist, chamber musician, and guest lecturer, Dr. Mowbray has been a featured artist for festivals and concert series in Philadelphia, Toronto, Washington D.C., Baltimore, and Los Angeles. She earned a Doctorate of Musical Arts in classical guitar performance from Shenandoah Conservatory and has taught for several colleges in the Mid-Atlantic region. Her recent CD, Reverie, was named a Top 10 Pick of the Year by Classical Guitar Magazine and has been featured on radio programs including In Tune on BBC Radio 3, and her writings have been published in magazines such as Soundboard and Prodigies.
