Presented by A Likely Story Bookstore, Carroll Arts Center, and Carroll County Public Library.
This event for kids is designed for readers and aspiring authors! Attendees will meet and learn all about the writing process from bestselling children’s authors Andy Auseon, Fred Bowen, and Hena Khan. To make this special event even better, each young attendee will receive one free book from the guest authors made possible from an anonymous donation to Carroll County Public Library. Please note that quantities of free books are limited. Additional copies of books will be available for purchase and signing at the evening author event open to all ages. All kids must be accompanied by an adult caregiver.

Special Guest Information
Andy Auseon
Andrew Auseon is the author of several books for children and young adults, and he is the writer of numerous bestselling and award-winning video games. A transplant from the Midwest, he lives in Washington, D.C. with his family and two very naughty cats. He loves breakfast cereal, the sound of the ocean, and the feeling of a brand-new book in his hands.
Fred Bowen
Fred Bowen was a little leaguer who loved to read and is still a lifelong sports fanatic. He is the author of the action-packed Fred Bowen Sports Story series, currently totaling more than twenty titles. For thirteen years, Bowen coached kids’ baseball and basketball teams. He has also written a weekly sports column for kids in the Washington Post since 2000. He was a lawyer for many years before retiring to become a full-time children’s book author. Bowen lives in Silver Spring, Maryland.
Hena Khan
Hena Khan is a Pakistani American writer. She is the author of the middle-grade novels Amina’s Voice, Amina’s Song, More to the Story, Drawing Deena, and the Zara’s Rules series and picture books Golden Domes and Silver Lanterns, Under My Hijab, and It’s Ramadan, Curious George, among others. Hena lives in her hometown of Rockville, Maryland, with her family.
