Writers of all levels and genres are invited to join our weekly writing group. It is a flexible, drop-in, stay as long as you like, environment.

Drop by the Finksburg Branch for a free vision screening. The screening, for preschool-aged children, will test for nearsightedness, farsightedness, unequal focusing, and differences in the power of the eyes.

Join your little one at a storytime featuring interactive books rhymes, music, and movement, followed by playgroup activities which allow children to practice skills and socialize.

This lively, fast paced storytime for young children includes books, songs, fingerplays, and movement.

Come meet a real firefighter in gear and learn about fire safety. Afterwards, head outside where a ladder truck will be waiting in the parking lot (weather permitting).

Get together at the library for a fun social time for you and your children. We’ll provide the space, toys, and activities, you provide the fun. Play is an important part of developing early literacy skills.

See a real fire truck up close! Celebrate Fire Prevention Week with the Manchester Fire Department when they bring a fire truck to the library.

Our regular, theme-based storytime with a twist. There will be age appropriate stories, songs and a learning activity along with the opportunity to get up and get moving!

A little push, a twist, a turn. Keep those little fingers busy and experimenting in our library Tinkertown. Fun, playful activities will engage the mind and body as your child builds his/her fine motor skills and creativity.
