Description
Want to be able to hem your garments? Come learn how to sew a variety of hem styles on fabric samples you can keep for future reference. You'll learn about different types of hems, the factors that influence which hem to use, hand stitches and machine stitches used to hem garments, and two ways to hem jeans.
Class prerequisites and required skills:
- have completed Intro to Basic Sewing Skills and/or have EC sewing machine certification
- can thread a sewing machine and wind a bobbin
- can sew items together with different seam allowances
- understand the purpose of back-stitching
Materials: Sewing machines and all necessary materials will be provided.
