Program Description

Description

Join historian, author, and musician Avellina Balestri for an educational and entertaining event. She will discuss little-known facets of the American Revolution as our first civil war, brother against brother, cousin against cousin, offering a more layered and nuanced sense of our history. The program will include a reading from her book All Ye That Pass By: Book 1: Gone for a Soldier, performing several period songs, and a Q&A.

This program is part of the Carroll 250 Speaker Series celebrating the United States Semiquincentennial, the 250th anniversary of the 1776 United States Declaration of Independence.
