Lippan art is a traditional Indian mixed media artwork done using mud and mirrors. It is native to the state of Gujarat in northern India. It is done using materials locally available in the region, like a mixture of clay and mirrors. This mud work has gathered attention and appreciation over the years, and it is now quite common in urban households as well.
In this class, you will learn to create Lippan art on canvas using air-dry clay and mirrors with mixed media artist Durga Ekambaram. All supplies will be provided.
