The Bag Ladies Are Coming!

Plastic bags are everywhere and Carroll County resident Rosemary Orner and her assistants will show you how to make use of them so they don’t end up in the landfill. Rosemary will demonstrate how to turn the bags into material to be woven to create sleeping mats. These are mats that remain dry even when used on the wet ground, so they are extremely useful for those who spend time outdoors. Come prepared to help turn plastic into “balls of yarn” to weave into future mats. Service hours available to students.
