This class introduces simple methods for tasting and describing cheese with confidence. You’ll learn to slow down, notice details, and build your cheese vocabulary.

Join this friendly crochet group open to beginners and experienced crocheters alike. Those new to crocheting should bring a size J hook and a light-colored, worsted-weight yarn to the class.

Get acquainted with the sewing machine and basic tools of the trade. Sew a fully lined, curved project bag. Learn to sew and finish a bag with two handles that are incorporated into the design of the bag.

In this class we will focus on editing photos in Adobe Photoshop to get the best results with our Fusion Pro and Fusion Edge laser engravers. 

Laser certification is required prior to attending this program.

A limited number of cross stitch kits will be available for our April drop-in! Cross stitch is easy to learn, so you can get started while you're here and learn what you need to finish on your own.

Soldering is fun and fundamental to a wide assortment of maker electronic projects and modern technology. From simple light-up LEDs to complex robots, solder is the glue that holds the technological world together.

We will be breaking out the mini remote-controlled Sphero robots. We will be doing programming with them as well as running them through races and obstacle courses.

Enjoy an easy, one-pan dinner featuring spring vegetables and Mediterranean flavors. This recipe will be accompanied by a presentation on the Mediterranean diet by a registered dietitian.

Join former Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey Circus performer Gregory May as he builds his own wacky circus show.

Learn the basics to feel comfortable using a sewing machine. This introductory-level class includes the EC sewing machine certification necessary for many other classes and/or independent sewing machine use in the makerspace.

Join us on a day off from school for a hands-on kitchen class! We’ll make Baked Apple Cider Donuts and learn basic baking skills.

This beginner-level laser cutter class will walk you through design basics, machine use, and safety procedures.

We'll have a new diamond painting project each month, and no experience is necessary!

Create a kitchen keepsake by turning a handwritten recipe into an engraved wooden recipe card! We'll learn some of the basics of Adobe Illustrator and utilize scanning to bring our handwritten recipes into a digital, engravable format.

Learn about the types of jewelry you can make with our makerspace technology. We will review the available equipment, selecting appropriate materials, and setting up design files for success.
