Join us for a friendly and informal group gathering to practice speaking Spanish together. This program is for intermediate and advanced-level Spanish speakers. A partner from The Literacy Council of Carroll County will lead this program.

Bring your writing, works-in-progress, or works-in-thought. This writing group allows beginners, unpublished, and published writers to network, learn, vent, and feel inspired to move to the next level.

Child car safety seats can be very challenging and confusing to install. The Carroll County Health Department will perform car seat safety checks and assist families to ensure they use child seats correctly. 

CCPL's Taneytown Branch will partner with Carroll County Public Schools and the US Department of Agriculture to provide free summer meals for kids and teens. There is no enrollment or cost; meals will be served from 12 PM until 1 PM.

Tiny thoughts lead to big ideas! Paint a mini canvas and create tiny art masterpieces to display in the library. Participants may paint their canvas in the library or take a kit home. Canvases will be available while supplies last.

Get acquainted with the sewing machine and basic tools of the trade. Learn how to sew a channel into a full-lined reversible bag and insert a drawstring that will close the bag.

Tickets cost $40 and include the author talk, a signed copy of Cooking Maryland’s Way: Voices of a Diverse Cuisine, and a recipe demonstration.

Celebrate World Watercolor Month with this stress-relieving, beginner-friendly art program. We'll start with some doodles and then fill in with watercolor paints, exercising creativity to bring both beauty and calm to our minds.

Join us for some fun and easy craft projects each month. No experience or creative skills are needed. Bring a friend or meet new people who also enjoy crafting. This month we will be learning about amigurumi and will crochet a small emoji.

Join us for a friendly game of American Mah Jongg. We welcome experienced players and newer players for casual, non-competitive play. Please bring a current National Mah Jongg League card. If you don’t have a card, one will be provided.
