CarFit for Seniors

There's a lot more to safe driving than how you drive. As you age, having the proper fit inside your vehicle can make a big difference and help protect you and those around you. Trained experts will be at this event to show you how you can enhance your comfort, safety, and fit within your vehicle. 

This CarFit event is in collaboration with the Town of Mount Airy, Maryland Department of Transportation, State Farm Insurance, and the Mount Airy Commission on Aging and Livability. Participants will be driving their cars through a designated area in the library parking lot at their designated time to be assisted by experts. 

Your participation in the CarFit event is voluntary and confidential. CarFit staff will not make any changes to your personal vehicle, although they may recommend you make some adjustments to get you the right fit. The CarFit event takes about 30 minutes from the time you drive in until the time you leave. The Senior Resource Fair will be happening inside the library throughout the duration of this CarFit event. Participants are encouraged to see what other resources are available to them before or after their CarFit appointment. Presented by the Town of Mount Airy and partners.
