Program Description

Description

Carroll County’s Union Mills is an exceptionally significant and well-preserved industrial and residential complex, but how did professional historians and archaeologists make that determination? Join moderator Elizabeth Anderson Comer, principal of EAC/Archaeology, Inc., and a team of experts as they present the results of a multi-year research project. Archaeological, architectural, cultural landscape, LiDAR, and documentary research will be presented by Dr. Rob Wanner, Dr. Paula Stoner Reed, and Paul Albert. This public programming is an opportunity for the Union Mills Homestead’s many stakeholders, including the public at large, to learn about the important findings made in the course of this project, which was made possible by a grant from the Maryland Heritage Areas Authority.

If you'd like to join us through Zoom, please register. If you will be joining us on Facebook or YouTube, no need to register, just tune into the live stream of the program.
