Tech Talk: Using Nature Apps to Identify Plants, Birds, and More

In the past, if you wanted to go hiking and identify the plants and animals you encountered, you had to bring along a field guide. Today, there are free mobile apps that can identify birds by their songs and recognize plants, fungi, amphibians, insects, and more from a photo. In this talk, education specialists from the Department of Natural Resources will discuss how to use these apps responsibly and how to verify your identifications using other reliable sources.
