Smokey Bear's official 80th birthday is August 9, 2024, and his iconic message, "Only You Can Prevent Wildfires," is still important. Sign up for our Smokey Bear Reading Challenge in Beanstack. Also, join the fun at CCPL's Taneytown Branch as we celebrate Smokey and our forests with a special birthday event. We'll make a craft and have a small snack.
