Program Description

Description

The Shoulders We Stand On documents the efforts to achieve the right to vote for women in Maryland and the United States. This program shows the teamwork, strategy, and conflicts within the movement to gain popular support for voter rights.

The relevance of the suffragists' efforts and the right to vote—for both women and men—throughout our history will be explored using the unique artifacts and photographs from Pratt Library Women's Suffrage Collection.
