NASA Science: Our Planet, the Solar System, and Beyond

NASA is about more than just sending people into space—they study the science of our universe. It provides humankind a unique vantage point with observatories in Earth orbit, on and around other planets, and at the very edge of the solar system. From these many points, NASA works to answer practical questions such as how storms begin, how the solar system formed, and the very origin of the universe.
