Program Description

Description

Did you know that NASA satellite data are being used to help predict, monitor, and reduce the threat of the world’s most dangerous animal, the mosquito? Join us to find out why and how NASA Earth observations are being used to help public health officials as well as find out how you can help with these efforts by using a very easy and free NASA-sponsored app, called GLOBE Observer. NASA’s Global Precipitation Measurement (GPM) mission’s Education and Outreach Coordinator Dorian W. Janney will present this exciting citizen science program. Presented by Carroll County Public Library in partnership with Cecil County Public Library, Howard County Library System, Montgomery County Public Libraries, Talbot County Free Library, and Wicomico Public Libraries.
