Description

The Lawyer in the Library project provides FREE civil legal services right here in the community! No appointments necessary. Attendees will be helped on a first-come, first-served basis. Please bring all relevant documents with you. Maryland Legal Aid attorneys and paralegals, law students, and volunteer attorneys will provide brief, one-on-one advice on a variety of civil legal issues including bankruptcy, child custody & support, debt collection, expungements, government benefits, housing, veterans’ benefits, and wage claims. Maryland Legal Aid will be in the branch for two hours.
