Description

Charmaine Wilkerson is the New York Times bestselling author of Black Cake, which was named a Read with Jenna Book Club Pick and adapted as a Hulu streaming series by Oprah Winfrey and Kapital Entertainment. Wilkerson's latest, Good Dirt, takes readers from the United States to France and back in time, from the West African shores to the American South. This is a poignant story but also a hopeful one, reminding us that love, friendship and courage can be found at every turn. She is an American writer who has lived in Jamaica and Italy. A graduate of Barnard College and Stanford University, she is a former journalist whose award-winning short fiction has appeared in various magazines and anthologies.

Charmaine will be in conversation with Nikki Payne.

Books will be available for purchase and signing.

Presented by Carroll County Public Library and A Likely Story Bookstore with Park Books.
